SEAM Booth, Wheel and Logo Design
This is one of the SEMA booths along with several wheels and logos we designed for wheel manufacturer Weld Racing during the 80's and 90's.

One of the designs developed for Weld Racing as part of a wheel advertising program, and was used in their print ads wearing several of their new wheel designs.

Another design for advertising use, this drawing also appeared in Weld print ads with various wheels.
At the time, radical show cars, like Chezoom, were on the show circuit. This 40 Ford show car would be build completely from scratch (no original 40 Fords would be sacrificed for its construction). Some of its features are: low, wide body, reshaped and filled-in grille area with vertical air intakes, crescent-shaped windows in the door below the belt line, and turn signals in the side mirrors.

Weld Racing owner, Greg Weld, owned a basket-case 39 Bantam (a car about the size of a current Mini), which he wanted to turn into a street rod. This was Jim’s design proposal for a mini-touring car, using a then-new design Weld wheel.

This is representative of the many wheels that we assisted in the design of for Weld Racing.
